This might bring cheers in some quarters. Fulfilling their manifesto promise, BJP Govt. has granted citizenship to over 4000 Hindu/Sikh refugees in last one year.
This has more than quadrupled from the figure during UP rule.
During elections in May 2014, a controversy broke out when BJP manifesto promised granting citizen to persecuted Hindus for whom they said, India was the rightful home.
Apart from that around 40000 have been given long term stay visas under Modi rule, in various states in mostly BJP rules states of India.
'Acche Din' are finally here for these people who have faced immense hardships.
